To grow up playing hockey, you have to live in a place where it is ungodly cold for too long every year. Its biggest problem in the US is that the majority of citizens do not grow up playing hockey while a good chunk can go out with a ball and/or a bat and play a game for 3 seasons (in the SW, 4.) Nothing to relate it to is hockey's problem. Go play curling, the real Canadian sport.
