Long believed to be a silhouette of former Twins great Harmon Killebrew the logo of Major League Baseball is actually not meant to be based off of any player in particular. The logo was actually originally designed for and used as the 100th Anniversary logo for MLB. During the 1969 season all players wore the logo on their sleeves to celebrate the centennial season. In 1970 the logo began being used to identify the leagues and has been in use ever since.
it’s nobody’s, just a symbol that MLB came up with
While the NBA’s silhouette is of Jerry West, not many other sports’ logos are of real players. The MLB one is an example.
Some people claim it’s Twins’ great Harmon Killebrew. In fact, that’s just a coincidence. It’s not based upon any particular ballplayer.

Harmon Kilebrew
It’s nobody - just a generic player. A lot of people seem to think it was modelled on Harmon Killebrew, but there’s nothing official to back that up.
I think it is Mickey Mantle.
Roger Maris.
