Keystone Revolutionaries
Pennsylvania Liberties

slogan- Let’s Ring
Quakers, as an homage to the founder
Franklins, recognizing a great citizen from the early days
Amish, paying tribute to a great people in the center part of the state
The last one could use a silhouette of a horse and buggy as its logo.
Pennsylvania North Braves
Slogan: Northside critters, Hardcore hitters!
Logo :you can make
the pennsylvania quakers
Elk is only good if the team is in the north-central part of the state. There are only a few counties this would work for. So, the St.Mary’s Elk would work, but not the Allentown Elk.
PA is a very diverse state. The Amish and Quaker thing is only good for the Southeast part of the state. There are no Amish in the rest of the state…at least in great numbers. (A common misconception by non-PA people.) The Amish also don’t like being used as a mascot, but the Quakers don’t seem to have a problem with it. The Erie Amish would make no sense…after all Erie’s AA baseball team is The Seawolves…which already makes no sense, since there is no sea near Erie.
Geographically speaking, there are a few things that tie all parts of the state together.
First is Trees. Hemlocks can be found through most of the state and the Eastern Hemlock is the state tree as well. The timbering industry is already represented in baseball by the Williamsport Crosscutters. The Iron Industry is also a binding historical theme. While not much steel is still made throughout the state, mills were present in both the west, southeast, and northeast. Hence the Pittsburgh Steelers (football) and the Lehigh Valley Iron Pigs (AAA Baseball.) Coal is the other big thing that has historical roots in the state. Mining dominated the Northeast, East-Central and Western PA areas for over 150 years.
The white-tail deer is the state animal and is represented by the State College Spikes (Single-A Baseball).
Harrisburg’s team is The Senators because it is the State Capital, Altoona’s team is the "Curves" which is a reference to the Horseshoe Curve on the railroad. Reading and Scranton/Wilkes-Barre just use the parent team’s name (Phillies and Yankees respectively.) Personally I think the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Yankees should be the "Mules" in tribute to the mining history.
