I’m not sure about Lonnie Smith (the San Diego Chicken maybe?) but Randall Simon of the Pittsburgh Pirates swatted the Italian Sausage at a Milwaukee Brewer’s game a few years ago. It was pretty darn funny!

Sorry I didn’t have time to look up who it was, all I can remember is Lonnie Smith just destroying the guy at home plate. I think they were playing teh Twins, so it’s all good.

Do not know about that but he had the ball when Chuck Knoblauch decoyed him in the 1991 World Series. Smith was actually a brilliant player with some serious issues in the outfield I read where he has real small hands and feet which caused his balance and throwing troubles
