The MLB logo is NOT Harmon Killebrew. It can be interpreted as a left handed hitter awaiting a pitch or a right handed hitter on his follow through after contact. The article at this link http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/page2/story?page=lukas/081118 tells of Harmon Killebrew saying he was the inspiration for the MLB logo and how much it resembles other MLB players such as Joe Torre, Johnny Bench, Rusty Staub, and MLB’s first DH, Ron Blomberg.

I think of it as a RH batter — so the viewer is looking at his back — but it is deliberately ambiguous.

Alright first of all. WHO THINKS OF THIS. You must have a lot of time on your hands to look at a MLB logo and go hmmm is he a left handed batter or right. WHO CARES and why are you wasting your time asking people over the internet. Go get some friends or a social life.

Rite handed. The pic seems to be from behind the batter. The bat pointing rite, batter looking left, like a rite handed hitter.
I always looked at it as a right handed batter. And it’s actually not Harmon Killebrew.
