Okay I have a little bet with my brother. How many original Major League Baseball teams are still their original cities? By this I mean teams that were in the AL and NL the years the leagues were founded?

Here is what I have:

AL: Chicago White Sox, Boston Red Sox, NY Yankees, Detroit Tigers, Cleveland Indians.
NL: Chicago Cubs, Philadelphia Phillies, Cincinnati Reds, St. Louis Cardinals.

I thought the Pittsburgh Pirates might be in there, they have been together many years. But no. They were started playing several years after the NL was founded.

I am thinking about attending an ALCS game in Boston (Tampa Bay Rays vs. Boston Red Sox) and was wondering if anyone knows where the visiting teams stay in Boston when they play the Red Sox.
For those that don’t know, the Rays actually posted their road hotel locations in the 2007 media guide. I don’t have 2008 and can’t find it anywhere. So, I was hopeing someone had one and could let me know. Anyone have the 2008 media guide?

*****MY OPINION*****
Ugliest - Boston Red Sox
Most Creative - New York Yankees

Why are MLB teams allowed to play college teams during the preseason? I never seen another professional sports league do this and I wonder how this benefits anyone? How embrassing must it feel if you lose to a college team but at same time how does it feel to be demolished by professionals? We already had two interesting games of college vs pros. In a split squad game the Boston Red Sox beat Boston College 24-0. The other day the University of Michigan played the New York Mets to a 4-4 draw.
