It is the pine tar they use for the bat to get a better grip. It gets on the helmet…
It’s pine tar. They use pine tar to gt a grip on the handle of the bat so it is on their batting gloves. They then adjust their helmets and that is what it looks like.
its for sure pine tar. the players wear gloves and put it on with the gloves, rub it in, and it gets all over the place. its like extra thick pancake syrup, you dont want to touch it, and it doesnt come off of anything. i dont even know what you’d use to clean pine tar off of a helmet, but it has to be powerful which may ruin the stickers/paint on the helmet, or eat through the materials so they leave it alone.
It is actually pine tar. they put it on their helmet and bat to get a better grip on the bat. i do the same with my helmet and bat it just prevents to bat from flying out of your hand when it is really bad weather.
It’s a build up of pine tar.
