They have the best pitching in the league with starters: Curt Schilling, Josh Beckett, Daisuke Matsuzaka, Tim Wakefield, and Julian Tavarez. They have arguably the best bullpen as well with Manny Delcarmen, Hideki Okajima, and closer Johnathon Papelbon. 3 of these pitchers also happened to be all-stars. The Red Sox are also 4th in the league in defense. Thats why they happen to hold the best record in the MLB. Has everyone forgot about the Red Sox.
