I was just wondering when teams cut down their rosters before finalizing their 25 man squads? I’m following my hometown Dodgers and would like to know when they are cutting down their team because there are some position battles that I’d like to keep tabs on.

I use custom logos for other fantasy teams with no problems. When I go to "edit team settings", I go to "change image" and upload the logo. I see it there at that point, but when I save it, I get taken back to the home page, but there’s no logo, just a blank white box where the logo should be. When I go back to "edit team settings" the logo should be under "choose your own image, but it’s gone.
Any ideas or suggestions?

I think some teams don’t use the players names because the teams has more history.

I currently have a profile picture for my fantasy baseball team- which is baseball orientated. Now I started up a fantasy football league and would like to have a different logo just for that football league. Is this possible?

I want to do a Spring sport for my SR. year. I did track last year but got terrible shin splints that resulted in stress fractures. For conditioning for Track this year I got shin splints again *sigh* and was told by our Athletic Trainer that because of my flat feet and the way my feet roll some what when I run I will keep getting shin splints unless I greatly develop my shin muscles. (have been trying to)
Sooo I have really been thinking I don’t want to do track. 1. shin splints. 2. For my event 99% of the kids trying out are better then me lol.

Some friends of mine on the baseball team want me to come out for baseball. Note, I have Never played it before though. I played T-ball when I was like 7 but I don’t even remember playing it.

I’d make the team. Our school don’t cut kids in sports if they aren’t good enough, they just might not get playing time or will be on JV.
Our baseball team is also pretty thin on players.

My boyfriend is looking for a specific Gap baseball hat, the one with just the letter G on it, which I can’t seem to find anywhere. I don’t know when it was made, as his is very old, but he says was the comfiest ever! His birthday is coming up and I’d like to get him one. The atrocity committed in Arizona, by Loughner has predictably generated calls for new gun-control laws in the U.S.
Some want bans on the extended-capacity ammunition clips. Others want improved background screening.
Would these or other laws prevent incidents like the Arizona shooting? Probably not. And such laws, along with existing gun controls, not only harm responsible gun owners but may even increase violence as does drug control.
Gun control laws basically permit legal gun ownership for most people in most instances, while imposing modest costs on legitimate gun owners. Examples include criminal-background checks, waiting periods to purchase a gun, minimum purchase ages, and the such.
These laws, did not deter Loughner, who had contemplated and planned his attack for a long time. The reason is simple: These laws are readily circumvented.

Consider, a ban on extended-capacity ammunition clips. If these had been unavailable, Loughner could still have carried out his attack with a 10-bullet clip [ it takes about 1/2 second to reload a clip ], and he might have aimed more carefully knowing he had less ammunition. Loughner could have brought several guns, allowing him to continue firing without interruption. Loughner could have bought a black- market clip.
Gun controls like those being proposed in all likelihood would NOT prevent psychotics on a mission.
But gun controls, do have adverse consequences. They evolve into strict limits on guns, bordering on outright prohibition. No evidence is available that gun controls lower violence: In fact the first year Australia imposed gun controls there was a 40% increase in criminal gun related actions.[see effects of gun control in Australia]

Strict controls and prohibition, moreover, wouldn’t eliminate guns any more than drug prohibition stops drug trafficking and use. Thus the classic slogan — when guns are outlawed, only outlaws will have guns — isn’t only a word play; it is a fundamental insight into the folly of gun prohibition. Such an approach means the bad guys are well-armed while law-abiding citizens are not. .
BUT…!!
Beyond being ineffective, gun prohibition would very likely even increase violence by creating a large black market in guns. So if gun laws follow the path of drug laws, we can expect more violence under gun prohibition than in a society with limited or no controls. The sad reality is that every society has a few people whose mental instabilities cause serious harm to others. This is tragic, but it doesn’t justify ineffective and possibly counter- productive attempts to prevent such harm. In reality had Loughner smashed the congresswoman’s head with a baseball bat….she would have been dead on the spot, pieces of skull..and brain scattered beside her lifeless body.
So?……Should we control baseball bats?

Okay I have a little bet with my brother. How many original Major League Baseball teams are still their original cities? By this I mean teams that were in the AL and NL the years the leagues were founded?

Here is what I have:

AL: Chicago White Sox, Boston Red Sox, NY Yankees, Detroit Tigers, Cleveland Indians.
NL: Chicago Cubs, Philadelphia Phillies, Cincinnati Reds, St. Louis Cardinals.

I thought the Pittsburgh Pirates might be in there, they have been together many years. But no. They were started playing several years after the NL was founded.
