Can I make/sell hats and apparel with Major League Baseball team logo's on them?

   No, you can’t do this without first purchasing an agreement, and then paying dividends to MLB. This would cost quite a bit.

   If you watch televised games, they even warn that recording and replaying without permission is illegal. (I seriously doubt this is ever enforced, but I’m sure they would enforce selling merchandise. They make a bundle off that).

   A local bar near me sold shirts with the bar name, and a screw going through the blue and silver Dallas Cowboy’s star. The shirt said "Screw Dallas". A representative from the Department of Revenue confiscated the shirts after a complaint was received.

   Those are trademarks of Major League Baseball. You need to license their use to be able to use them.

   Those logos are trademarked by MLB and you cannot sell things with them on them unless you sign a licensing agreement with MLB, which I imagine would cost an enourmous amount of money.

   Get permission (and pay huge amounts) for the right to copy and sell their logo. Should you get caught selling without permission, you lose anything connected with the sale of these items such as, the vehicle you are carrying them in, all merchandise and even the watch you looked at to see what time you are being arrested. Harley Davidson and Disney are the biggest ones you don’t want to mess with. Harley even offers rewards in Biker magazines for info that leads to arrest and conviction of offenders.

   You must be a licensee. Contact MLB for information about how much it costs to be licensed.

   If you sell unlicensed merchandise, it can be confiscated.
